It is used as a battle cry and excuse to go to war with nations who have no ability to cause any real harm, yet possess some resources desired by the elite. If you think your vote has any effect on the direction of your government, think again. It’s all a show. It’s a shell game except there’s nothing under any of the shells. Pick this one or that one. Some superficial things will happen to give you the illusion of change, but the fundamental power structure remains unaffected. The real power and decision making was isolated and separated from the democratic process generations ago. No elected official has access to it. No representative of “the people” has any say in the major decisions that effect our lives. They’ll decide what color to paint the office, but they’ll never be allowed to decide how your freedoms are to be protected. You lost those a long time ago.
