the brainwashed ‘libertarians’?
He likes to use the Russians in Afghanistan – Americans in Afghanistan thing quite a lot but neglects the differences between the cases. Afghanistan had a ‘Communist’ government which was implementing social chnages. It was the reactionary Afghan landlords, religious fundamentalists and capitalist class that was tearing the country apart. The Aghan government asked the Soviets to assist. With huge backing from various imperial nations financially and ‘on the ground’) we all know the outcome.
Great to see Bensky with such an important U.S. icon having a real discussion in a somewhat mainstream venue….More Bensky, Please!
