President Mwai Kibaki has for the first time stated that he will not be seeking re-election in the forthcoming 2012 general election. The president who categorically stated that he is angered by politicians who have already started early campaigns said that politicians should not panic as elections will come and go and the ultimate decision remains with Kenyan voters. The president who was speaking in Ruiru during the burial of the late AIPCA archbishop Samson Gaitho, maintained that there are more pertinent issues including drought and famine being felt in parts of the country that need to be addressed instead of tiring Kenyans with politics.
