Its called DJ Premo from teh 80’s only difference his he stacked the two together with the mixer on the left hand side since he is righty and hamster….like me! (so is qbert)
and I hate when they are the normal way
it is so you dont bump the tone arm
You should go by the bass kick on the one but in a really loud fucking club i go by the sanres as well, the kick can get distorted with everything going on.

Fuck what a pro he is. Can he been seen on the DJ Top100 poll this year
….. GAY
I agree – gay fuel.
Thank god for serato itch much better to lock up the tempo.
should go by the repeating of the pattern, like he said on the 1, most of the beats are 4/4 i’m sure, but i’m a drummer, not a dj
Different when you drum out the beats yourself rather than trying to match two pre-recorded beats. Sometimes it is so loud in the club that your head phones are the only thing that saves you, Sometimes there is a delay in the sound system especially when you are doing large venues like 1000+ people. So much going on that the only solid time keeping you got is the 2s and 4s (snares) otherwise it sounds like 4 bass kicks going off at once and when you bleed that fader out you could train wreck.
Not all the beats DJs spin are 4/4, Outkast has a 4/5 time siganture track, lol totaly fucks DJs up. With house music I would say yes, 4 to the floor always but when you talk about electro and some drum n bass/ jungle it can be different time signatures. I would love to match by the 1 but that is not always the case.
DJ Top100 Poll is gay as well, it all dance DJs.
Are those 2 seperate songs or the same song?
This is actually a fairly decent video from expert village…they usually put out crap tutorials
Hey guys! can you give my mixes a listen? im a new DJ and would like some constructive criticism! please comment and let me know what you think!
what equipment is that?
hey I want to start djing but i have a question.
can you just mix any type of music?
like for example.
chrisbrown- forever & daftpunk-stronger ?
would that make sense?
good man , good
you can do it! forever is 120 bpm and stronger I THINK not sure is around 125bpm so they’d very easily sync up.
thanx, but where do you get the music? on a record? cause i’ve been taking a look at the dj turntables and they have records on both sides, but wouldn’t that cost a lot if you were to buy records for each song u wanted to mix?
yes if you have turntables or you could get a CD system that uses CD’s instead of records orrr you could do a computer based system that uses the Mp3’s off your computer like Serato Scratch live
I tried cutting on some turn tables at this one music place in my area once, and that shits was a whole lot more difficult than I thought it would be LOL, but nevertheless, I’m planning on becoming good at it one day. That is whenever I get that kind of money Great video!

nis AND carm
Yes, but you’ll need the two to be roughly the same tempo and within the same key if you want to mix them together heavily. Pitch control can help you get the two within the same key, but it will ultimately effect tempo. You’ll want to buy vinyl that’s been prepared for DJ’s. A lot of famous DJ’s and studios release special versions of songs where the songs are transposed into the same key and the bpm’s are matched for the purpose of DJing.
good video, yeah. even with the best explanation most people will still never get it
you can mix anything you want bro (; your the one in back of the turntables/laptop
thanks alot for this video! this really helped me i just subscribed
